Crafted from a downed cedar tree in the woods of Hudson Valley, this piece explores the bittersweet concept that as we grow from from our roots into adulthood, into ourselves, this implicitly means we must grow separately from the ones we love and started with, but that does not need be filled with longing for the past, as we never can grow too far apart. Distinct from each other, yet complimentary, the conjoined vases utilize a glass tube and larger glass vessel with frog respectively. The decay of this fallen tree telling the story of two trees that started from one Cedar has been halted and sealed with fire.
