These decorative hand turned bowls are crafted from fallen cedar trees sourced in the Hudson Valley. Made in small batches, these bowls are each unique, formed around the natural characteristics of the tree. The bowls are then burnt in the Japanese style of yakisugi, (also known as shou sugi ban) creating the black patina and preserving the wood from decay. Bowls are additionally sealed to preserve and protect against liquid. Custom bow ties are then added to increase stability.
Bowls range from 11-12” diameter, if interested in a specific piece please reach out!
